The app really fits my mental model for how I organize my work. It's great to have a daily overview of all tasks that I need to work on so I never forget anything important. The only thing that I'm missing are subtasks with their own deadline.
Really starting to enjoy this. This app is so easy on the eyes. It just needs a few things more to be perfect. Drag and drop to make tasks subtasks would be great. Adding notes to tasks. And most importantly a WearOS app! Even if it does nothing but add tasks to the chaos box. So many times I think of something but can't use my phone and using a smart watch to add it would be great.
This used to be confusing for me; but it's so much easier now! It had previously been tricky to use bc the devs LITERALLY incorporated all the features anyone could want for scheduling/planning/organizing/etc but it's much easier now! My only suggestion would be: I'd love to Swipe the Edge of my screen to open the app. (It may already be a feature; just started using it again...)
Like it
I think the app is AMAZING for what it is but I personally was looking for a project management app that allowed more information such as notes and attachments so i'll continue on my search but Chaos Control is badass as a GTD Organizer can get 🤟 !!!
This app is an awesome way to dissect all your work into small achievable steps. However, I think that there needs to be better syncing with my Google calendar for seeing my tasks on a daily timeline. Maybe having a daily, weekly, and monthly view of all your tasks in the app itself would be very nice. Optional timers for tasks would be great too.
As you can see from my original review, I've been using for nearly 7 years. It is a well thought out and useful app that isn't overly complicated. The developer also has good responses and clear understanding of the GTD methodology. It has been a while since there have been updates, so wondering if any are in the works? From July 2015: A little nit-pick, but why does Windows have the Daily Plan as the top choice, but the Web version and Android have the Chaos Box as top choice? I think you are overworking the order (since there are so few items) and you should just follow the sequence in How it works: Projects = Step 1 Define your goals; Contexts = Step 2 Define your tasks;
So helpful for my bad memory
Can switch, very decent
I have used this app for YEARS both on Android and way back on my Windows Phones, and it is by far the best GTD app on the Store. I routinely come back to it again and again, and every phone I get, it's the first app that I download, even if I'm not at an organised place in my life at the time. I don't even fully follow the GTD system very well, and haven't utilised the app features to their fullest, but even as a To-Do app, there is nothing better than this one. Cannot recommend highly enough!
